COMMERCIAL AND MOLD INSPECTION
We perform inspections for apartment complexes, office buildings, warehouses, commercial storage buildings, and other types of multi-use structures.
Apartment complexes
A Mold inspection in an apartment complex is similar to a residential mold inspection for the common systems and components. However, when mold is discovered in one unit the others adjacent to the mold infestation also need to be inspected. Often times, mold inside the walls of one unit will spread and become a problem in another unit.
Office buildings
Office buildings can have complicated ventilation systems due to the number of individual rooms that require circulating air. If each individual office does not have a supply vent and a method to return air, the air in some rooms will not properly circulate and moisture can accumulate. Sometimes walls are added to divide up offices without considering how it affects the ventilation system, which can lead to moisture problems.
Warehouses, commercial storage buildings
When a client purchases a building, it may appear structurally sound and pass a standard commercial inspection, but may have problems with climate control or hidden areas of moisture intrusion that has led to mold infestation. A commercial inspection is concerned with structural soundness not mold, so the owner may wonder why they see stains on the walls or floors, or why the space has a musty odor when the commercial inspection report listed no problems with the interior. Merchandise stored in a mold-damaged facility can destroy the value of property or lead to potential liability for the building owner, so a commercial mold inspection can be a great benefit to the owner.
